MacGowan Shane - 20th Century Paaddy:Songs of... / Tribute / Vinyl

The Songs of Shane MacGowan od projektu 20th Century Paddy představuje poctivou hudební poctou a oslavou jednoho z nejvýznamnějších a nejoriginálnějších básníků i písničkářů irské hudební historie – Shana MacGowana, nezapomenutelného frontmana legendárních The Pogues a The Popes.

Tento konceptuální projekt přináší autorské i věrné interpretace skladeb, které zásadním způsobem proměnily vnímání tradiční irské lidové hudby. Propojením nekompromisního punkového drajvu s melancholií keltského folku dokumentuje MacGowanův jedinečný vypravěčský talent. Album staví na příbězích irských emigrantů, městských outsiderů, ztracených existencí, alkoholu, lásky i nostalgie, které v MacGowanově podání tvořily srdce moderního folk-punku 20. století.
